Part 2: The-not-so-Secret-Life-of-Steve-and-Kate
Friday night and while I’m waiting for Steve to get his sexy self-home from the office, I can’t help but blast a little Adele while I’m cooking up a storm in the kitchen. I mean come on, have you heard her new album? AMAZING. Sure, maybe it sounds a little sweeter given the fact that I snapped it up on iTunes® with the leftover cash rewards from Steve’s birthday fund… But that woman can sing!
Steve and I don’t usually head out on a Friday night because we’re both exhausted from the working week, so it’s generally a nice meal, a glass of wine, a film and an early night for us. This week, I scored a bottle of vino courtesy of the online rewards Australia points I earned with OpinionWorld. Thanks guys!
A sun kissed Saturday morning
Saturday morning is a different story… When I first met Steve I couldn’t help but notice his glow, which I soon found out was thanks to his love for the ocean, a surfboard and a nice clean wave. While he hits the beach bright and early, I catch up for an early morning yoga session and Starbucks coffee with the girls using a surveys for rewards voucher. Back home by 10 and because it’s sunny I manage to convince Steve to whip up his smoked salmon eggs hollandaise special, served up in our pretty courtyard.
Speaking of which… I’ve spent the past few months reimagining our little slice of paradise. Steve’s put in paving, painted the walls and built some garden beds, and I’ve hit up my favourite homewares stores in search of the perfect décor. A gorgeous hanging terrarium from Myer, beautiful succulents from Bunnings and some incredible rose gold wall planters from Kmart. What a bargain! Who knew you could get paid for online surveys and decorate an entire courtyard in the process?
Weekend shopping, at my fingertips
Oh, and I’ve just discovered OpinionWorld offers a fantastic new PayPal system. This means I can earn money online and use my rewards to purchase directly from retailers that offer PayPal options. I may or may not have used it to snap up that gorgeous Camilla kaftan I’ve been eyeing up for my best friend’s wedding. Shhhh, don’t tell Steve! I just wish I’d ordered it earlier, because we’re heading to an engagement party tonight and I would have loved to rock it.
Sunday fun day
Sunday rolls around and it’s a good thing drinks finished early last night because we’re up with the sun to take part in a charity run we got roped into by a colleague from Steve’s IT office. We’re regular givers to Can Too and Cure Cancer Australia, so were more than happy to pound the pavement for a good cause.
After a morning of running and a well-deserved lunch, we head home for a Sunday sundowner. A gin and tonic down the road at our local pub is the perfect antidote to a busy weekend. While we’re sipping away, I take a minute to use some of my paid surveys OpinionWorld points to buy additional entries to the $5,000 competition for cash prizes draw. Camilla couture aside, this money for surveys would be going straight to the holiday and new house fund!
So that’s our weekend in a nutshell… How was yours?
